I finally get the exposure triangle

I’ve been a fan of Karl’s work for years so it was a no brainer for me to join one of his workshops. From the start, Karl was extremely patient and explained everything clearly. I wanted to get off auto mode and shoot fully manual, and do a mix of street and surf photography. He tailored the day exactly to my needs and I learnt so much. I finally get the exposure triangle and I’ve already been out practising.

Karl’s a great guy, really friendly and enthusiastic about photography. If you need some creative inspiration or want to get off auto mode, don’t hesitate to book one of his workshops!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!

Attended one of Karl's photography workshops recently. What an experience! We spent three days travelling to some of the most beautiful locations in Cornwall, photographing the surf and the gorgeous coastline.

The workshop was officially a surf photography workshop, and unfortunately the conditions weren't in our favour this particular trip. But Karl's intimate knowledge of his home county and decades of experience as a photographer meant we were able to adapt easily and travel to the locations that had the best weather and conditions. Got some great photos and enjoyed some great conversations about photography, working in the creative field, music, pets and life in general.

Already booked another workshop with Karl later this year and this definitely won’t be the last. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect balance of outdoor adventure, creative inspiration and practical advice. Karl did so much more than helping me to improve my technical skills and confidence using my camera in manual mode (although he definitely did that too)! He also focused on developing my 'eye' for recognising photo opportunities. He is a natural mentor and took an interest in my style rather than giving generic advice.
